About The Position

Collette is seeking a Custom Tours Intern. This is a hybrid role based at our headquarters in Pawtucket, RI for 32-40 hours per week. Results - where applicable, Collette Interns will have the opportunity to be considered for full time positions with us after graduation.  Job Summary: As a Custom Tours Intern at Collette, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting unique global travel experiences beyond our standard tour portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Custom Touring team to support the pricing and quoting process and auditing and preparation process of international tours tailored to meet travelers’ specific needs. This role offers exposure to as insight into the Custom bidding process as well as key aspects of the travel industry, including contracting hotels, attractions, and transportation. You’ll assist with auditing itineraries and preparing preliminary cost estimates, and collaborating for exceptional tour delivery and the goal of customer retention. This internship is a great opportunity to learn the business behind custom travel and contribute to projects that make a real impact. The Custom Tours Intern will support ISR audits, tracking-grid analytics, and preliminary cost estimates.

Requirements

  • Time Management – balancing varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the ability to work independently with guidance and possess confidence to seek assistance/collaboration as needed
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills are necessary: navigating between multiple screens, multitasking amongst applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred
  • Adaptability and curiosity to learn new internal systems
  • Ability to manage time and scheduling efficiently
  • Willingness to work hard and have fun doing it!

Responsibilities

  • ISR Audits: Learn what to look for and how to cross-check information against advertised itineraries; verify confirmations, payment methods, and notes
  • Tracking-Grid Insights: Identify territories with high materialization vs. requests that don’t materialize; quantify the custom tour deposit’s impact on materialization
  • Cost Estimation: Learn comps/commission procedures; prepare internal estimate summaries; review with Custom Specialists to QC and forward to Sales Team
