About The Position

California Closets of Charleston, SC is looking to expand our team in the Installation department. If you have an aptitude for woodworking, a valid SCDL, a good driving record and are able to work independently, we would like to consider you for a position with our organization. We provide equipment and training, as well as a competitive pay scale for this outstanding opportunity. The main responsibility of this position is to produce & install our products in a safe, efficient and effective manner, upholding the business & personal ethics along with the customer satisfaction levels that our clients have come to expect, and that California Closets has always stood for. Requirements

  • must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • maintain a strong work ethic
  • possess reliable transportation to and from our facility
  • acceptable post-offer drug screen
  • ability to pass background test
  • able to walk, lift 50 pounds, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch

Nice To Haves

  • experience with common hand and power tools
  • trade or vocational school experience desirable
  • cabinetry or carpentry skills desirable
  • strong verbal and written communication and listening skills

Responsibilities

  • maintain a commitment to client satisfaction, customer service and excellence
  • perform skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work to install custom storage systems such as closets, cabinets, offices, and other spaces in the home or commercial buildings.
  • utilize provided CAD drawings to install systems properly and efficiently.
  • assemble and install systems of varying complexity.
  • assist in the removal and installation of materials in customer homes.
  • maintain shop tools and equipment in safe working order
  • install systems independently or with team members
  • partake in training programs as needed and as required
  • provide a high level of customer service for in-home installations.
  • maintain safety standards at all times.
  • responsible for driving to and from customer sites and operating company-provided vehicles in a safe manner.
  • perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
