Custom Sign Fabricator
About The Position
As a Custom Sign Fabricator, you will be responsible for the creation and assembly of high-quality, custom industrial signage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our design, project management, paint, assembly and installation teams. A Custom Sign Fabricator needs to have a passion for craftmanship and creativity where they can utilize their skills and experiences in various fabrication techniques and materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements
- Experience in a fabrication environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in using fabrication tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of various materials and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret designs, production art, and engineering instructions to fabricate custom signs.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, including, but not limited to saws, welders, torches, shears, grinders, and sanders.
- Work with materials such as steel, aluminum, plastics/acrylics, wood and vinyl to create durable and visually attractive signs.
- Renovate used cabinets to refresh and modernize customer signage.
- Trimcap acrylic letters.
- Practice good quality practices to ensure proper functioning of signs.
- Complete all paperwork related to the production process according to established procedures.
- Document all materials to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Keep updated on trends and technology related to the production of signs.
- Clean and maintain equipment daily
