About The Position

Coordinate and manage all aspects of a custom project relating to a current or impending sales order for your assigned sales team. Responsibilities begin when Sales indicates a new purchase order and ends when the customer receives the correct, working, product. Coordinate activities across the customer and multiple internal functional groups to develop, monitor, and manage project milestones. Direct actions and engage key stakeholders to keep milestones on track to the requirements with regard timeline, specifications, and costs/price committed to the customers. We are looking for someone to be located in or near Greenville, SC or Mentor, OH. Will need to go into the plant at least 3 days a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain
  • Minimum 2 years of Customer Support or Project Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and Salesforce
  • Firm understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Familiarization with Lean concepts and continuous improvement
  • Ability to read or learn reading and understanding design blueprints
  • Ability to prioritize between multiple time sensitive activities simultaneously
  • Ability to promote and facilitate a culture of teamwork, accountability, and responsiveness
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to build and foster strong working relationships; work effectively within the team and across the organization

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales order delivery date and develop milestones and tasks to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate and manage projects from customer purchase order receipt through delivery to maintain customer satisfaction and responsiveness goals
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand process and achieve customer milestones
  • Develop a firm understanding of ORBIS manufacturing protocol and processes to anticipate gaps
  • Attend daily plant update meetings and provide project updates on projects in production
  • Work with customer, sales, customer support, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure that critical requirements have been captured and communicated
  • Coordinate prototype orders including ensuring designs have captured changes, customer has approved concept, customer supplied parts & information (request, receipt & fitment testing), coordinating with prototype team to ensure customer milestones are met, coordinating changes as needed
  • Support forecast demand plan by ensuring design updates, tooling, purchased parts (including internally produced subcomponents), & approvals are completed in a timely manner to support capacity reservation & build plans.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impede project completion, including root cause determination, identifying, presenting, and executing solutions
  • Coordinate quality complaint resolution/rework, as needed, to maintain customer satisfaction/responsiveness
  • Ensure engineering targets (BOM, cost, quality, delivery timing, tooling, etc.) for all assigned projects are met. Monitor project costs to meet target profit; always working towards cost reduction initiatives.
  • Read and understand design prints in order to ensure BOM is correct, instructions are clear and requirements are captured
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to address systemic defects/gaps identified in project execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
