Couto Homes is seeking a skilled CAD Specialist to join their team in Granbury, TX. This role is essential for translating design concepts into precise CAD drawings, ensuring that each project reflects the company's commitment to excellence in custom home building.

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings from portfolio designs, verbal instructions, mark-ups, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with home specialists, design consultants, Operations/Sales Directors, and the CAD Manager to create, correct, and modify construction sketches.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of sketches and drawings, ensuring they are error-free before distribution to clients, subcontractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek clarification from Sales Specialists, Design Specialists, or the CAD Manager to ensure designs are accurate and meet project requirements prior to completion and approval.
  • Systematically archive and maintain CAD drawings on the company server, keeping project folders updated and organized as jobs progress and revisions are made.
  • Print CAD drawings in various formats and deliver them promptly to the appropriate team members.
  • Utilize creative expertise and advanced CAD techniques to continuously improve processes and outputs.
  • Stay current with trends, technology advances, and best practices in home design and CAD.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance Couto Homes' design processes and products.
  • Participate in marketing, sales, and team activities as needed.
  • Proficiency in CAD software with strong technical skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to organize and maintain digital project files systematically.
  • Creativity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with SoftPlan (1 year preferred).
  • Experience with AutoCAD (1 year preferred).
