About The Position

Under the general direction of the Project Manager, the incumbent will install structures and fixtures such as windows, framing, drywall, and molding. The incumbent will also measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials as required for tenant improvement/fit-out.

Requirements

• High School Degree or relevant experience
• At least five (5) years experience in construction or a related field
• Practical knowledge of all state and local safety standards
• Ability to work well with others both inside and outside the organization as well as vendors and suppliers
• Exercise professional judgment in selecting proper choices of action within limits set by standard practices and procedures
• OSHA certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Constructing, installing, repairing, and finishing structures and fixtures of drywall, metal wood, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter and power tools while conforming to local building codes.
• Shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
• Studying specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and scope of materials required.
• Assembling and fastening materials to make framework or props, using hand tools.
• Building or repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
• Removing damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repairing or replacing using hand tools.
• Maintaining clean worksites and keeping all tools in good working order.
• Conducting all work in a safe and OSHA-compliant manner.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
