We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Door Builder to join our team and support our growing millwork and door operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys hands-on work, and values precision. The Custom Door Builder will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and customizing doors to meet exact project specifications while maintaining Mill Creek’s high standards of quality and service.
Requirements
- Prior experience in woodworking, millwork, door building, or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow detailed specifications
- Comfortable using hand tools and power equipment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials regularly
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and team-first attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, and prep interior and exterior door units to specification
- Perform custom door modifications, including: Cut downs and restyles Quad door configurations Custom SDL (Simulated Divided Lite) applications Panolock installations Clip door fabrication Dutch door modifications
- Read and interpret work orders, shop drawings, and measurements accurately
- Operate saws, routers, and other woodworking equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all products meet quality standards prior to delivery or installation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines and customer expectations
- Assist with loading, staging, and preparing materials for delivery as needed
