Job Summary: We currently have an opportunity for a Custom Crate Builder to join our Columbus, Ohio team. This position is responsible for building wooden crates, boxes, and pallets with hand tools and/or power tools. Custom Crate Builder's work in a team environment to package and protect products for shipment and to ensure needed items meet shipping schedules. Packers must have strong organizational skills to optimize space for shipments and to label products with all necessary shipping information. Packers are assigned to the manufacturing plant but may also work with other departments, such as warehouse support. Packers may perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

High-school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use woodworking equipment, such as nail guns and staple guns.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Mechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand tools.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 th of an inch.
Ability to add and subtract fractions.
Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work.
Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit.
