About The Position

A Custom Builder job is available at MI windows and doors at our Flower Mound, Texas plant. You are responsible for building custom windows and doors to meet the specific needs of our customers. You will have a strong understanding of construction principles and a keen eye for detail. You can work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The hourly compensation is between $22.00. Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 a.m. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGT Innovations, is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in construction or a related field
• Strong understanding of construction principles
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other specifications
• Proficiency with power tools and other construction equipment
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other specifications
• Measure and cut materials to size
• Assemble and install components of structures
• Construct walls, roofs, and other components of buildings
• Install windows, doors, and other fixtures
• Use a variety of power tools
• Follow safety protocols during construction
• Perform regular maintenance and repair work
• Coordinate with other tradespeople, suppliers, and contractors
