Custom Applicator
About The Position
This position involves working independently to apply chemical and fertilizer products to producer fields. As a Custom Applicator, you will be responsible for building relationships with area farmers to understand their chemical and fertilizer needs. The role requires spending time in the field, operating a sprayer or airflow machine to load and apply products safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will also gain hands-on experience and technical skills by running various types of machinery and performing routine equipment maintenance. Requirements
- Applicator's license (willing to train the right individual)
- CDL (willing to train the right individual)
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with area farmers to learn about their chemical and fertilizer needs
- Spend time in the field, operating a sprayer or airflow machine while loading and applying products in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner
- Gain hands-on experience and technical skills by running many different types of machinery and performing routine equipment maintenance
- Use certifications such as an applicator's license and CDL
