About The Position

PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position is responsible for the operation of spray equipment and the effective application of pesticides or fertilizer. Regular hours can vary, extended hours will be necessary during peak times and as business dictates. The purpose of this position is to increase service performance and excellence to our customers by performing tasks associated with the day‐to‐day operations of our retail Agronomy supply and service operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain a valid driver's license and commercial insurability
- Team player
- Comfort with basic mathematics
Nice To Haves
- Chemical Applicators License preferred
- Experience in operating heavy farm machinery
Responsibilities
- Operates all spray equipment and fertilizer floater equipment safely
- Apply pesticides with applicable calibrated rates, accurately and efficiently
- Mixing, loading and application of pesticides/fertilizers
- Handles and delivers bulk and packaged chemicals
- Follow state and federal application regulations
- Performs daily vehicle inspections
- Cleans and maintains equipment
- Maintain application/spray records
- Manage customer service relations
- Organize and coordinate application timetable with customers
- Other duties as assigned
