About The Position
This position is an on-campus, full-time, 12-month appointment based in Champaign, Illinois covered by the Professional Support Staff (PSS) Union with an annual salary of $32,763.82 which equates to $15.75 per hour for a standard 40-hour work week. The Custodian is a team member responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming, attractive, and sanitary environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to support Parkland College's main goal of quality education. The Custodian also assists others with setting up facilities for events and transporting materials or furniture. The Custodian is on a schedule established by the Custodial Supervisor to maximize the effectiveness of routine and specialized cleaning duties. Custodians may occasionally encounter or have access to confidential information. The Custodian must be able to collaborate with their supervisor, function independently, contribute effectively as part of a team, and prioritize tasks accurately.
