About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for keeping the interior of the facility clean and in orderly condition. Your day will involve cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim, as well as cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms. Additional tasks include sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, dusting furniture and equipment, washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork, washing windows, door panels, and sills, emptying wastebaskets, transporting trash and waste to disposal areas, replenishing bathroom supplies, and setting up tables and chairs in auditoriums or halls. You will also perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Less than high school education; or up to 1-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to be adaptable and self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors
  • Dusts furniture and equipment
  • Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empties wastebaskets
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • Replenishes bathroom supplies
  • Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
