About The Position

The Custodian performs a wide range of janitorial and facility maintenance tasks and procedures on a daily basis. This position is responsible for numerous duties that include but are not limited to: cleaning walls, floors and equipment, waste disposal, and various other facilities and maintenance duties. This position will work closely with the Department Manager and maintenance personnel to ensure a clean and organized work space so that production can be optimized.

Requirements

1 + years previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred
Must be able to work well with others and have excellent communication skills
Ability to handle a physical workload
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized work environment including: Factory Floor, Offices, Restrooms
Ability to clean all general walking surfaces using a broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, squeegees, etc.
Ability to clean and sanitize the following surfaces: toilets, sinks, mirrors, windows, tables, chairs, railings, door handles, etc.
Ability to take out trash from offices, productions floor, shipping area and place in outdoor hopper.
Ability to monitor supply inventory and reorder in a timely manner.
Follow company production and safety procedures
Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and government regulations
Assist maintenance personnel on tasks and projects as needed
Complete all other reasonable tasks assigned by the Department Manager
Communicate with the Department Manager as necessary
