About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the branch and outdoor areas. Provide general custodial care, including but not limited to: Restrooms/Locker Rooms/Offices/Program areas Floors Windows Surfaces Disposal of garbage Keep surrounding outdoors area clean, i.e. parking lot/entrance. Assist in snow removal and salting sidewalks and parking lots as needed. Complete cleaning checklist and all tasks as assigned each shift. Regular and timely attendance to respective schedule.

Requirements

• Displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and adheres to our mission.
• The ability to work independently and hold self accountable as well as partner with co-workers to provide quality services required.
• Must have the ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Able to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, spray and aerosol forms and perform essential cleaning functions

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with cleaning preferred.
