About The Position

Starting Pay: $16.88

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffer/sweeper, etc.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year or more of paid custodial experience
• Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit

Responsibilities

• Washes floors, furnishings, equipment, windows, doors and walls with cleaning solutions and disinfectants
• prepares cleaning solutions and disinfectants
• cleans and scrubs basins, sinks, lavatories and toilets
• replenishes soap, tissue, towels and similar supplies
• dusts, wipes and clean cabinets, closets, shelves, vents, showers, pictures and desks
• collects trash and empties garbage
• picks up trash from outside of buildings
• sweeps, mops and dusts floors, strips floor of old wax, applies new wax and buffs
• performs related duties as required.
