About The Position

Custodian Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for Part-Time Custodian for our Custodial team in St. Joseph, MO . The Custodian is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly facilities, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, stairways, and common areas. Duties include cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, carpet cleaning, and vacuuming floors, as well as emptying trash, restocking supplies, and performing light building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs. The role requires some heavy lifting and operation of floor machines. If you answered “Yes” then the Hillyard Custodial Team has the Career Opportunity for you. Essential Functions And Responsibilities: Clean, dust, sweep, mop, wax, and vacuum floors. Monitor and refill soap and paper product dispensers. Clean stairwells, vents, and other building areas as needed. Ensure all electrical appliances are turned off nightly. Operate floor machines, scrubbers, and buffers as required. Sweep and maintain parking lots. Perform general building maintenance, including light bulb replacement. Empty wastebaskets and trash containers daily. Qualifications Include: Required: 1–2 years of custodial experience. Ability to multi-task and attention to detail. Ethical and responsible behavior. Follow instructions regarding cleaning chemicals and supplies Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Dependable, punctual, and flexible with work hours.
