About The Position

Custodians are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the office building. Duties include picking up waste, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows, and reporting repairs and maintenance work. Depending on the job, Custodians may be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery. Requirements

Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Reliable and frequent attendance is required
High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management team
Dust, clean, and sanitize all workstations, furniture, desks, countertops, window ledges, and office spaces.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floors.
Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles.
Scrubs, sanitizes, and ensures paper and soap dispensers are fully stocked and functional in restrooms
Use of appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the office looking clean and professional.
Monitor janitorial supply inventory and orders, as needed, per established procurement guidelines.
Report major damages and repairs to the supervisor
