About The Position
Fortis Industries is seeking Full Time Custodians for a contract in Ft. Worth, TX. This role involves providing services to the three primary buildings: Fritz Lanham, Federal Courthouse, and Federal Parking Garage. This is a union position, with pay and benefits determined by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement. Requirements
- Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying and storing items
- Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning
- Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions
- Must be able to work with a team
- Must be reliable and willing to perform assigned daily tasks
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work a schedule of 35 hours or more per week
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Custodian Leadership and performing the assigned duties
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products
- Dust, polish, and wipe furniture
- Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary
- Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums
- Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms
- Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety
- Secure buildings and doors when they are not in use
- Following instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace
