Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Utilize standard equipment/products to perform a variety of custodial duties.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions, complete work logs, and read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Must have an Adult CPR/AED, First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within the first 60 days. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general custodian duties to maintain offices, break rooms, restrooms, program rooms, common areas, etc. according to a set schedule and in accordance with building, health, and safety standards.
  • Clean, dust in high and low areas including elevators, and office fixtures.
  • Clean floors/carpets by sweeping, vacuuming, spot mopping, mopping, running automatic scrubber and carpet spotter machine.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and ensure that restrooms are properly stocked with appropriate levels of supplies.
  • Wash windows, walls, partitions, baseboards, doors and door handles, drinking fountains, light fixtures, trash receptacles, air vent fixtures, etc. using a variety of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and equipment.
  • Keep and maintain work logs and records.
  • Inventory all cleaning supplies and equipment on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure safety of patrons and be prepared to take charge in an emergency if necessary.
  • Act as a first responder in the event of an emergency, providing immediate assistance, administering first aid or CPR as needed, and following proper emergency protocols to ensure member and staff safety.
  • Report any emergencies immediately and complete accident reports as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
