About The Position

This position performs required duties to maintain facility areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing cleaning priorities and schedules.
• Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
• Promptly detect and respond to visual and auditory safety instructions, alarms, and signals.
• Wear personal protective equipment on plant floor, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and steel-toed safety shoes.
• Work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold).
• Bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, grasp, grip, repetitive hand motions, and reach to perform work.
• Able to visually see close, distance, depth, and in color.
• Able to adjust eye focus to bring an object into sharp focus when needed.
• Able to utilize peripheral vision.
• Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Lift or carry materials weight up to 20 pounds and periodically care or lift materials weighing up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience in a janitorial role or custodial work.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and nonverbal).

Responsibilities

• Performs various cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and window cleaning.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs and light switches.
• Clean and disinfect microwaves, tables, counters, and chairs.
• Collect and removes trash.
• Restock supplies in lavatories and washrooms to ensure adequate availability.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning inventory.
• General cleaning to be performed daily.
• Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials or waste.
• Clean and maintain outdoor areas, such as parking lots and walkways.
• Be at work on time with a desire of performing to the best of your abilities.
• Communicate problem areas with supervisors.
• Complies with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs.
• Performs duties in compliance quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
• Build positive relationships and work cooperatively with associates in a team environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
