About The Position
The qualified individual should be able to perform work necessary to maintain the cleanliness of the Academy buildings. Responsibilities may involve some or all of the following duties: Cleaning floors, furniture, chalkboards and erasers, drinking fountains, toilets urinals, showers, walls, light fixtures, windows, and glass areas; washing, scouring, polishing, and similar work of a custodial nature in accordance with his/her specific schedule. Operating power driven floor sweepers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and waxing machines. Rearranging furniture to be able to clean areas thoroughly. Removing trash from buildings, caring for school property adjacent to buildings, and sweeping walkways.
Requirements
- Applicants must possess a High School Equivalent (HSE) and a valid Indiana driver’s license with a good driving record
- On the job training will be provided.
- This position is physically demanding and requires that an individual have the physical ability to meet the requirements of the job which includes reaching with hands and arms, lifting and carrying a minimum of 25 lbs., climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and extensive walking.
