About The Position

To keep assigned building interiors clean and orderly; to perform variety of custodial and minor building maintenance duties as assigned; and to do related work as required. Assigned to Durham Manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
• Must have thorough knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial and minor building maintenance work.
• Must have the ability to perform variety of manual tasks; follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; and maintain good working relationships with others.
• One year experience in janitorial or light building maintenance; or, combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, scrubs and mops floors.
• Strips, waxes, buffs and seals floors as directed.
• Vacuums and cleans rugs.
• Cleans bathrooms, walls, fountains, windows and replenishes supplies.
• Empties trash bins for all manufacturing departments and keeps are areas clear and clean.
• Reports necessary repairs to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
