The ideal candidates for this position are detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on cleaning and special projects as needed. The Custodian position will follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of facility operations and grounds.

Requirements

  • Housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred
  • Experience in sports complexes, arenas or large public venues preferred
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Capacity to take direction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 40 pounds as necessary
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule; evenings, nights, weekends, and some holidays

Responsibilities

  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
  • Clean and sanitize office spaces, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and public areas
  • Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors, trash cans, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms
  • Monitors for spills throughout the facility and clean as needed
  • Cleans and maintain all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restock supplies, etc.)
  • Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests provide answers and directions as needed
  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
  • Replenish restroom and janitorial supplies
