Custodian: Performs various custodial tasks to ensure the cleanliness of college facilities. Work hours are from 2:00 am to 10:00 am Monday - Friday. Overtime may be required for special events. The pay rate starts at $12.97 per hour. Requirements
- Up to six months of similar or related experience. Two years responsible experience in a similar custodial job preferred.
- No high school degree required.
- Normal courtesy in dealing with others required.
- Must be able to operate cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn institutional software programs and systems.
- Moderate physical exertion is required including walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, stretching, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Performs general custodial duties of all buildings.
- Routine duties include but are not limited to the following: empties, sanitizes, and relines trash receptacles
- sweeps and mops floors
- cleans and sanitizes bathroom and bathroom fixtures and refills disposable items
- vacuums rooms with carpeting
- strips, scrubs, seals and buffs tile floors
- cleans carpets
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
