QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in the custodial trade including the use of cleaning materials and working knowledge of modern cleaning methods, equipment, tools, and materials Knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to use modern equipment, tools, and materials used in custodial duties with skill and efficiency. Ability to perform heavy work for an extended period. Ability to understand and follow a work schedule and written directions. Knowledge of accepted custodial procedures and methods. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to operate computer equipment for email communications, word processing, data management, and other assigned tasks as related to the position. Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents, and community members. Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position, is held in the highest of confidentiality. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies, including mandatory reporting procedures.
