About The Position

To provide students with a safe, comfortable, and clean environment in which to learn, play, and develop.

Requirements

• Some experience in custodial work preferred.
• Ability to do routine manual work of average difficulty in cleaning and providing light maintenance of buildings and grounds under close to moderate supervision.
• The physical condition necessary to bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean walls, floors, fixtures, windows, sidewalks, and other areas on a prescribed schedule.
• Empty trash receptacles as scheduled.
• Move furniture and equipment as necessary to perform cleaning tasks and for special activities.
• Replace light bulbs, do touch-up painting, and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Report safety hazards and the need for repairs.
• Maintain the security of buildings and grounds as assigned.
• Maintain grounds.
• Pick up trash, mow and trim grass, trim trees, irrigate, and perform other grounds maintenance duties as assigned.
• Keep all floors, doors, and walls clean and attractive, and in well-maintained condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
