About The Position

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation principles, and equipment and supplies used in cleaning.
• Ability to work independently and adjust to different situations.
• Graduation from high school.
• In evaluating candidates for this position, the County may consider a combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes toilets, urinals, sinks, floors, showers and mirrors in bathrooms and locker rooms.
• Cleans hand towel dispensers, mops floors, and supplies soap and paper products.
• Cleans kitchen area and training room including cabinets, sinks, counter tops, tables, chairs, microwaves and floors.
• Cleans windows, empties waste baskets, recyclables, washes and dusts floors, countertops, vending machines and drinking fountains.
• Vacuums carpets and shampoos or spot cleans when necessary.
• Cleans phones, light fixtures, washroom fans, partitions, and ceiling diffusers.
• Dusts and/or polishes chairs and cabinets, file cabinets, pictures, doors, walls, blinds, window sills, tables, tv’s, computer monitors, desks and surrounding areas.
• May set up and break down training room.
• Ensures that appropriate doors are locked and directs general public to various meeting rooms.
