About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, lunchrooms, and meeting rooms; replenishing supplies; setting up meeting spaces; and assisting with janitorial inventory.

Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude for operating cleaning equipment.
Ability to read and interpret standard work instructions and safety guidelines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting.
Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare meeting rooms before and after scheduled events.
Inventory and replenish janitorial and maintenance supplies.
Clean and sanitize lunchrooms, including tables, counters, and floors.
Wipe and clean refrigerators and microwaves inside and out; defrost refrigerators monthly.
Clean, polish, and disinfect drinking fountains.
Thoroughly clean manufacturing restrooms, including sanitizing fixtures and replenishing supplies.
Empty trash and recycling containers in designated areas; replace liners and clean exteriors as needed.
Empty outdoor trash containers and maintain cleanliness in parking lot areas.
Spot-clean walls, doors, and light switches in lunchrooms and restrooms.
Check and replace burned-out light bulbs in office areas.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and according to procedures.
Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
