About The Position

This position is responsible for: Key Responsibilities: Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, buffs, and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks. Strips and waxes floors as needed. Cleans windows; dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures; Cleans dining area. Empties trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds. Ensures property inside and outside the Center of Hope building are in a safe and good working order. Maintains an updated inventory of equipment and appliances for the Center of Hope. Oversees and schedules quarterly vent cleaning in all rooms. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping and minor maintenance work. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing. Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic. Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors. QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and six months experience performing general housekeeping duties, any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid State driver’s license may be required.
