The Custodian position is responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. This role involves performing routine custodial and basic maintenance tasks, along with other assigned duties, to support the effective operation of the building.

Requirements

Able to manage schedule and work independently to complete assigned tasks
Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
Reliable and consistent attendance
Ability to communicate basic needs or concerns to supervisor

Nice To Haves

One year of related custodial, maintenance, or cleaning experience

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting interior spaces
Clean and sanitize restrooms and other common areas
Remove trash and recyclables and ensure proper disposal
Clean and maintain entryways, lobbies, sidewalks, and other exterior areas
Maintain grounds as needed, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and snow removal
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies; notify supervisor when inventory is low
Report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns promptly to the Corps Officer
Follow all safety procedures and proper use of cleaning products and equipment
Maintain the overall appearance and basic functionality of the facility and grounds
Assist with basic setup or cleanup for corps activities or events as needed
Attend staff meetings as requested
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position
