The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility to support daily manufacturing operations. This role ensures work areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces meet Adalet’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and compliance. The Custodian plays a key part in creating a positive work environment by supporting facility upkeep, waste removal, and basic maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • Facility Cleaning Practices: Understanding of industrial cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical use.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, PPE requirements, and safe handling of cleaning agents.
  • Time Management: Ability to follow a cleaning schedule, prioritize tasks, and complete work with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain cleanliness standards across production, office, and common areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Basic skill in using floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate needs, report maintenance issues, and collaborate with Facilities and Operations teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify cleanliness or safety concerns and take appropriate action or escalate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces throughout the facility.
  • Perform routine sweeping, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitizing to support a safe and organized workplace.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers across all departments and ensure proper disposal.
  • Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials in designated areas.
  • Clean and maintain cafeteria and locker room areas, ensuring they remain orderly and hygienic.
  • Support floor care needs, including scrubbing, buffing, deep cleaning and spill cleanup as required.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuum floor scrubbers, riding scrubbers, etc.) as required.
  • Assist with basic facility upkeep such as replacing light bulbs, reporting maintenance needs, and supporting minor repairs.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Operations teams to support special cleaning projects or seasonal needs.
  • Perform cleaning and other tasks on facility grounds (outside building)
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report any issues promptly.
  • Assist Maintenance staff with facility projects (painting, set-up of storage equipment, etc.)
