Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, we are willing to provide training for the right candidates. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Must pass a background check
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, but willing to train enthusiastic candidates
  • Strong public relations and communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Capable of performing basic manual labor, including: Cleaning common areas, frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs (up to 50 lbs), reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and standing throughout shifts
  • Experience operating various cleaning machinery (e.g., leaf blower, power washer, floor scrubber) is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Able to follow instructions
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in assigned duties, including: Sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning spills, restrooms, offices, sidewalks, pathways, window sills, railings, stairways, parking lots, removing bird droppings and clean and wiping down surfaces.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
  • Restock cleaning supplies as needed
  • Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, and recyclables, disposing of them in designated areas
  • Multi-task and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Adhere to safety procedures at all times
  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, and property managers
  • Report safety issues or building problems (e.g., burnt light bulbs)
  • Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding needed supplies and equipment for cleaning duties
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or property manager
