About The Position

The Salvation Army’s South End Corps., is hiring a Custodian and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 1500 Washington Street, Boston, MA
Hours/week: 25 hours per week
Exemption: Non-exempt
Pay Range: $15.30 - $21.00 per hour
starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications
Maintain a clean building sanitizing, cleaning offices, rest room, officers, classrooms, kitchen, lunchroom and gymnasium

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years work experience in a non-profit preferred
• Knowledge of health and sanitation requirements for a public facility
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste containers
• Sweep/vacuum floor each day and damp mop and wax when needed
• Replace hand towels and tissue
• Clean mirrors
• Setup chairs/tables as requested
• Monitor areas for routine keep up (windows, light fixtures, etc)
• Complete other related tasks as requested
