About The Position

Join ENTEK Today at our Terre Haute Location! Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments? We’re looking for a dedicated Custodian to join us to help maintain our workplace to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. As a key member of our facilities team, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including: Daily Cleaning & Upkeep Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and scrub floors and surfaces in offices, restrooms, common spaces, and select shop areas Damp wipe furniture Clean and restock restrooms, kitchenettes, and lunchrooms Clean the lunchroom and breakroom microwaves and refrigerators Empty trash and recycling containers Ensure a clean and organized workspace Deep Cleaning Duties Wash windows, screens, doors, doorframes, and walls Steam clean carpets, as needed Clean overhead fixtures Maintenance & Safety Perform minor routine and preventative maintenance tasks Notify management of any major repair needs

Requirements

Custodial or janitorial experience
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Effective English communication skills
Reliable and consistent attendance during scheduled shifts
Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Team-oriented mindset
Professional demeanor when interacting with coworkers, customers, and vendors
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and compounds, including how to read and follow safety directions and warnings
Satisfactory results from a pre-employment fit-for-duty screen and drug screen
Satisfactory results from a pre-employment background check

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience working in an environment with a large footprint
Experience using floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners)
Familiarity with industrial or commercial cleaning practices
Knowledge of workplace safety standards (e.g., OSHA guidelines)
Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and scrub floors and surfaces in offices, restrooms, common spaces, and select shop areas
