The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. This role exists at two levels with duties and expectations increasing in scope and complexity at the higher level. Starting Pay: $23.03 per hour 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm with overtime when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of maintenance or related experience, helpful.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Strong interpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Must be certified to operate a forklift or ability to obtain certification
Responsibilities
- Responsible for interior of building (office & plant) by sweeping and mopping floors, emptying waste containers.
- Must be observant to detect any unusual conditions or cleaning necessary in the plant.
- Separate cardboard from waste and bail in hydraulic machines.
- Separate other recyclable items, i.e. metal, paper, plastics, & place in designated containers.
- Work with outside vendors to manage daily pick up of material
- May do minor painting, material handling
- Other duties as assigned
