About The Position

The Custodian provides quality custodial services to the Kuukpik Corporation's Nuiqsut office. The Custodian performs their duties under the direction of the General Manager of the Nuiqsut Office, ensuring that office spaces are clean, well-maintained, and safe for all employees and visitors. The role of the Custodian is critical in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for the Nuiqsut Kuukpik Corporation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building
• Cleans and sanitizes the restrooms and break room
• Sweep, mop, dust, empty trash, and wash dishes
• Washes windows
• Operate mechanical cleaning equipment, including vacuum, mop bucket, etc.
• Notify management of unsafe office conditions, needed repairs, or maintenance equipment
• Remove snow and ice from steps for safety purposes at the Kuukpik building
• Submit orders for cleaning supplies and materials; supply restock
• All other duties as assigned.
