About The Position

Work Experience: Entry-Level (Foundational) Work Experience Description: Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses. ᅟ Department Custodians (Facilities Management) Position Scope Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors. Vacuums and spot cleans carpets. Removes trash from trash containers Removes water from walks and driveways. Removes trash from trash containers.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be capable of a full range of body movement.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Should have a grammar school education.
• No prior work experience necessary.
• Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations.
• Must attach resume and current schedule (weekly view)
• All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors.
• Vacuums and spot cleans carpets.
• Removes trash from trash containers

• Hoses down and pressure washes Pacific Pavilion, front entrance, IMAX, Concessions and Alii Luau areas, and any other walkway in assigned area(s) as needed.
