If you think you might be a good match, we encourage you to apply. Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to participate in the cleanliness of the facility. Successful candidate will receive the day to day instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor. The position requires physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for attention to detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance. The candidate will be given hands on training by the supervisor and colleagues. This position has an ideal work schedule, only first shift hours and overtime available dependent on customer demand. Previous experience is not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
  • Ensure employees are prepared for the next day by stocking locker room, taking out trash, and cleaning all surfaces.
  • Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, showers, and restock disposables in both restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Gather soiled uniforms and place into laundry bags.
  • Gather respirators and wash them using the industrial respirator wash machine.
  • Maintain parking lot cleanliness regularly.
  • Occasional seasonal outdoor work (yard maintenance and snow shoveling).
  • Drive floor scrubber.
  • Vacuum large areas with central vacuum system.
  • Use scissor lift to clean ducting and other items near ceiling.
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Maneuvering up to 50 pounds.
  • Reaching, carrying, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling.
  • Wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with all safety requirements; participate in safety training/practices.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow company hygiene guidelines.
  • Use small hand tools.
  • Communicate to supervisor when detecting defective equipment.
  • Reading numbers and letters.
  • Work with and around hazardous materials.
  • Work in hot and cold temperatures.
