About The Position

We now have an opening for a custodian at the Chariton Distribution Center. The following partial job description explains this level two maintenance department job. Requirements

Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
High school or equivalent experience.
Zero to one year of similar or related experience.
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
Must be physically able to perform medium work: exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, 15 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more with or without correction, color vision, field of vision, and depth perception.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, standing, feeling, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, and repetitive motions.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Cleans rest rooms, break rooms, offices, meeting rooms, entrances and other related facility areas.
Strips, waxes and varnishes floor tile as needed.
Clean, extract, dry and vacuums carpets as needed.
Empties trash and fills dispensers when needed.
Washes windows.
Maintains equipment.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Assists other maintenance personnel with painting.
Changes light bulbs and ballast.
Performs other job related duties and special projects as required.
