About The Position
The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District school system is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of day shift Custodian at Amherst-Pelham Regional High School. This is a grade B position within the AFSCME bargaining unit with an hourly pay starting range of $18.28-$19.55. Responsibilities Include: Shovel and/or sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps, as appropriate. Vacuum classroom carpets daily and dust furniture. Clean corridors after school each day, and during the day when their condition requires it. Scrub and disinfect bathrooms. Keep grounds free from rubbish. Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation. Remain on the school grounds during assigned shift hours. Move furniture or equipment within the building as required for various activities and as directed by the head custodian. Other assigned duties as required to fill job-related needs. Requirements also include: - Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician. - Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis - Experienced in the use of custodial supplies, tools and accessories, including but not limited to floor scrubber machines, buffers, stripping and waxing equipment, etc. - Basic computer skills - Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) - Acceptable National Criminal Background Check, commonly referred to as a fingerprint check.
Requirements
- Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.

- Experienced in the use of custodial supplies, tools and accessories, including but not limited to floor scrubber machines, buffers, stripping and waxing equipment, etc.
