About The Position

We take pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for our employees, residents, and visitors. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Custodian to join our team and help keep our buildings in excellent condition. Position Summary The Building Custodian is responsible for performing routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and facility upkeep duties to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. This role plays a vital part in supporting the daily operations of our buildings and ensuring that facilities are ready for use by staff and the public.

Requirements

• Previous custodial, janitorial, or building maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Must pass background check and/or pre-employment screening as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper disposal.
• Set up and take down furniture, equipment, and rooms for meetings, events, and activities.
• Monitor building conditions and report needed repairs or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, or making small repairs.
• Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
• Follow all safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
• Assist with snow/ice removal, landscaping, or other seasonal duties as required.
