The position involves essential job functions that require compliance with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities. The role includes daily cleaning, sanitizing, and vacuuming of assigned work areas, as well as the removal of garbage from these areas, including common areas. This also involves the removal of biohazard waste in coordination with a contracted vendor. The employee will be responsible for moving and removing dumpsters, linen carts, tubs, and other carts to assigned areas. Additionally, the role requires assistance in the setup and disassembly of areas for special events, including cleaning the area before and after the event, which involves tables, chairs, podiums, and other equipment. The collection of linen at the end of daily shifts, including linen shoots and emptying vendor tubs, is also part of the job. The employee may assist with the physical moves of equipment and furniture as necessary, including mattresses and beds based on Health Center needs. Cleaning of glass doors and windows of assigned areas and cleaning of equipment based on an assigned schedule (e.g., wheelchairs twice a week) are also required.
