About The Position
The Custodian position at Fluor Corporation requires an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a polygraph. The primary responsibility of custodians is to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, including washrooms, office premises, and common areas such as break and dining rooms. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors, as well as removing trash and general refuse. Custodians are also responsible for dusting furniture and fixtures, polishing metal fixtures, and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms. In addition to routine cleaning, custodians will perform heavy cleaning duties, which may include deep-cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing additional rubbish. The role may also involve performing routine maintenance on custodial equipment, such as vacuums and hand tools, and notifying management of any necessary repairs. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and candidates should be prepared for background checks as part of the hiring process. Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and should possess effective communication skills to interact with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two years is required, with some locations potentially having additional qualifications to comply with local requirements.
