In addition to routine cleaning, custodians will perform heavy cleaning duties, which may include deep-cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing additional rubbish. The role may also involve performing routine maintenance on custodial equipment, such as vacuums and hand tools, and notifying management of any necessary repairs. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and candidates should be prepared for background checks as part of the hiring process. Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located and should possess effective communication skills to interact with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two years is required, with some locations potentially having additional qualifications to comply with local requirements.
