About The Position

We are looking for a responsible Custodial Supervisor for NIGHT SHIFT to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or janitor, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role along with experience working in a supervisor role over a small team that is focused on building upkeep. They will have good physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative for a Custodial Supervisor

Requirements

Experience in directing cleaning type operations in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to supervise cleaning services (including janitorial and floor care services) within a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

The principal responsibility of the Custodial Supervisor is to ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of the facility in accordance with the contract requirements.
Supervise the night staff along with coach and develop members of your team.
Provide Manager & Director with daily shift report and staffing updates.
Provide all relevant trainings to employees.
Participate in weekly safety trainings, supervisor meetings & senior leadership meetings.
Supervise detailed custodial functions including floor care.
Strip and Wax Terrazzo Floors
Sweep, mop floors and vacuum carpets
Operate handheld and riding scrubber equipment
Shampoo & Extract Carpets
Spot treat carpet stains
Perform standard janitorial duties including
dusting
detailing
vacuuming
sanitizing
cleaning restrooms, common areas, and windows
Ensure employees clean all tabletops, fixtures, file cabinets, desks, dividers, partitions, elevator doors, entry doors, walls and surfaces to ensure that they are free from dust and dirt in accordance with the daily work schedules. Step in to perform such duties when personnel is absent.
Ensure employees clean service, and police all restrooms, gyms, offices, lobby, hallways, conference rooms and manufacturing areas, stock all supply dispensers in restrooms and ensure that all shelves and surfaces are clean and dry in accordance with the daily work schedules.
Ensure that all glass mirrors and interior and exterior doors are free from smudges, stains, discoloration, rust, mold, encrustation, excess moisture or spots. Ensure that all designated areas are vacuumed, swept, and mopped on a daily basis by personnel, as assigned.
Performing routine checks and inspection for cleaning area. Manage all corresponding nightly and inspection reports and completing all customer work order request accordingly to your shift on a daily basis.
Understand and be able to explain and enforce the employee handbook, the hazard communication program, blood-borne pathogen procedure and all safety policies and procedures. This role will also require additional administrative duties including managing emails processes for work orders.
