About The Position

The custodial position at Snowshoe Mountain resort involves removing solid waste from Snowshoe Village and business units on a daily basis. It also includes monitoring Snowshoe compactors and operating Snowshoe's recycle program for all recyclable material and hazardous waste. This is a seasonal summer position for 2026.

Requirements

• Have a valid Driver’s license
• Ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Nice To Haves

• Ability to move a pull trailer attached to a pick up
• Ability to operate a standard shift truck
• Knowledge of Snowshoe Mountain and location of departments is helpful

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain Snowshoe compactors, reporting issues promptly.
• Ensure compactors are operational, clean, and emptied as needed.
• Keep compactor areas and village trash cans clean and organized.
• Manage trash and recycling collection, including special recyclables.
• Coordinate with Pocahontas Recycle and handle special waste needs.
• Report equipment defects, maintain cleanliness, and complete reports.
• Arrive on time, wear appropriate attire, and participate in training.
• Contribute to team efforts and achieve results as directed.
