About The Position

Accountable for maintaining assigned areas of the facility in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. Provides security services for the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Duties may include auto-scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wall washing, cleaning vents and light fixtures, emptying waste receptacles; collecting, preparation and disposing of red-bagged hazardous products.
  • Refinishes floors, buffs, cleans carpets, spot removal, and other floor care as needed.
  • Performs room set up for meetings which requires moving furniture; will also be called upon to move furniture and equipment.
  • Secures the hospital complex by assisting with critical situations such as locking and unlocking doors, security rounds, security reports, deals with combative patients and visitors, assists with natural disasters and facility proper protection.
  • Maintains knowledge of emergency codes and responds accordingly.
  • Provides escort service and assists with helicopter landings, trauma team, decon team and performs other security duties as required.
  • Spot clean walls and doors and scrub sink after use.
  • Assures adequate supplies and wet floor signs are available; cleans equipment after use and before storing; maintains custodial closet.
  • Uses appropriate chemicals and sanitation in cleaning procedures according to policy and procedure manual.
  • Follows and completes work assignments per schedule and procedure.
  • Reports any and all mechanical failures, faulty wiring, chipped paint, broken furniture, plumbing problems and other potentially hazardous conditions.
