About The Position
The Custodian position at FedEx Freight is a part-time role focused on maintaining a clean and attractive work environment within the facility. The primary responsibilities include cleaning the physical structures, yard, and dock areas to ensure a hygienic and welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors alike. This role is essential in upholding the company's standards for cleanliness and safety, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the facility. The custodian will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting the entire office area. Additionally, the role involves emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, and performing general yard work such as picking up trash, cutting grass, and maintaining gardens. The custodian will also be tasked with maintaining parking areas, ensuring they are free of debris, and cleaning the dock and dock apron to facilitate smooth operations. In addition to cleaning duties, the custodian may perform minor building repairs and painting as needed, change light bulbs in the office and dock areas, and replace air conditioner filters. Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies is crucial, and the custodian may be required to perform other duties as assigned. This position is vital for creating a safe and pleasant working environment for all employees.
