About The Position

SA Recycling is looking for a part-time experienced, cheerful, and dependable Custodian who takes pride in their work. As a Custodian you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our offices, breakrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas as set forth by company standards. In performing these duties, you may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-year previous custodial experience.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal and external facility conditions as set forth by company standards and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and restock common areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms.
• Identify needed repairs to facilities and properties and bring to the attention of the General Manager.
• Perform general maintenance functions such as replacing HVAC filters, changing light bulbs, and replacing damaged ceiling tiles, etc.
• Maintain adequate inventory of all cleaning supplies and materials.
• Continuously monitor and address all common areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms for cleanliness.
• Keep supply closets and storage areas neat and orderly.
• Regular and punctual attendance are essential job functions.
