For more details see https://www.itw.com/careers/benefits-compensation/ Position Summary The Custodian/Light Assembler is responsible for performing routine cleaning and sanitation of the facility while also supporting light assembly and basic production tasks. The role requires regular physical activity, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.

Requirements

  • Mathematical - Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Reasoning ability-Ability tog to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram (visual) form.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, sit and type.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, push, pull, crawl, feel and grasp with hands and arms.
  • Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or a light amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Climb and work from ladder
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus.
  • Typical Plant conditions with occasional unusual noises, smells, alarms, and varying temperatures.
  • Constantly exposed to Chemicals, Machinery, and loud noises.

Responsibilities

  • Basic knowledge and ability to set-up and operate all equipment used in production of the marker area, and light assembly area
  • Basic knowledge of component parts and finished products produced within the department personnel.
  • Physically locate inventory stock from incoming purchase orders and attached Kanban cards.
  • Complete daily housekeeping activities
  • Cleans all areas of the Facility (for example, floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) while following Company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned on occasion.
